The village closed to traffic in 1970

Children.
This Conservation work continues today with Tree Planting
Children from Wittington Oval School and Blakenhale School

Yardley Old Village and Park was made a
Conservation Area
in 1969, one of the first in Birmingham.
Yardley Conservation Society was founded a year later in
1970
and is still continuing to protect this Ancient Site
